We have sand!

I have a photo of another project to show you today ... yep, we finally have some progress on our build! On Tuesday the sand pad was put on the block, all going well and weather permitting we should have a slab by the end of next week ... yiippppee!

I have also done some scrapping but unfortunately with it getting dark so early at the moment I haven't had a chance to take any photos, hopefully I can get them done this weekend so I can show you.

Until next time,

Kaye

Another Challenge

Happy Friday Everyone,

Here's my take on another one of the challenges from Challenge Heaven, it's the theme challenge. The theme was "Mothers" and the criteria was "three photos", so I used photos of my three boys.

Here's a couple close ups for you. The paper I've used are leftover scraps of Websters Pages.

The title is cut from cricut chipboard and red bazzil using Sesame Street font. I've then embossed it using the swirly cuttlebug embossing folder (oh I love that embossing folder!)

That's all from me for now, if you haven't popped over and checked out Challenge Heaven yet just click on this Link.

Until next time,

Thanks for stopping by,

Kaye :o)

Puppy Feet

I know .... two post in as many days .... I'm as shocked as you are!!!

I just wanted to show you my take on the sketch challenge from over at Challenge Heaven, it's a new challenge site that my friend Danielle put me on to. Each month they have several different challenges, including sketch, colour and theme challenges. If you're looking for some inspiration pop on over and have a look.

Anyway, as promised, here's my take. It's a bit simpler than I would normally do but I'm rather pleased with it.

This is a close up, I used some brown fabric I had, the lace Websters and the paper matting the photo is Basic Grey. The black card stock is Co'dinations ... I just love how it looks rubbed back!

The title has been cut from Cricut chipboard (now theres a surprise) using the Winne the Pooh font and then I sprayed it with Glimmer Mist "Jack O'Lantern".

Well, that's all for now.

Until next time,

Kaye :o)

Portrait of the Past

I recently received a disk of photo's from my parents and on it were several old photos of my dad's family. This is a page I did on Friday at the crop at Inspired Crafts, using a photo of my Dad's Grandfather, Bill Frank.

I love the way they used to take photos of people walking down the street.

As soon as I saw this picture I immediately thought of this Graphic 45 paper, it's from the "Perfect Gentlemen" range. The chipboard clock is from Dusty Attic.

The font I used was Cricut "Blackletter" cut from Cricut chipboard and then inked and then embossed through the Cuttlebug.

Well, that's all for now, thanks for stopping by.

Until next time,

Kaye :o)

Small Things

I should warn you that there are bound to be a lot of "house" themed layouts over the next few months as we progress through the build. The following layout is one I've been working on over the past week.

Here's a close up...

Thanks for stopping by, see you again soon.

Woo hoo ... another post!

Wow! Two posts in one day, the blog fairies must be in a good mood!

When I was on holiday the week after Easter I spent a day scrapping with Peta, and this is what I came up with. It is a photo of my cat Snuggles, he's British Blue Birman cross and I have very few good photo's of him 'cos normally when I line up the camera on him he gives me "angry ears".

This layout turned out rather simple, but I still like it. I couldn't resist putting the collections bird on the top. The bird was sprayed with Glimmermist "Sapphire" and "Suede" and then run through the cuttlebug embossing folder.

The title is cut from Cricut chipboard using the "Mickey" font, sprayed with Glimmermist "Sapphire" and then embossed.

The following layout is one I did a little while ago, it's a picture of Phil & Shep standing on our block .... can't wait for the building to start.

The paper is Basic Grey, an I just love the collections chipboard fence.

The clouds are from cut using the "Paper Pups" cartridge ... aren't they cute.

Alright, that's all I have for you at the moment.
Thanks for dropping by.

Last week it was mine and Phil's 15th Wedding Anniversary so I got all inspired to scrap this wedding photo.

I used one of the new papers from the Prima "Pastiche Collection" call "Quirky", and those butterflies just screamed to be cut out and lifted up with scrap-dots.
I made the pearl swirls using the a bazzil stitching guide, and Kaiser pearls (thanks to Peta for that idea)
Well that's all for now, thanks for stopping by.
Until next time,
