I think I found it again!

Last year I lost my scrapping mojo and since then I've been struggling to do anything but just of late I feel like it's coming back. It's not that I'm creating masterpieces, more that I've found my love of scrapping again.

The following pic's are of a layout I started a few weeks ago when I went to a Friday scrap night at the new scrapbooking store in Cannington. I've been trying to put these pic's up on the blog for the past week but my blog seems to be a tad temperamental and it wouldn't let me until finally this morning it gave in to my persistence!

The picture I've used is one of me which Phil took a few years ago. The beautiful paper I've used is one from the latest range from Prima, isn't it yummy!

These beautiful gates are from Dusty Attic while the tree was cut from black Cricut chipboard using the new Cricut Heritage cartridge. I sprayed both the tree and the gate with Tattered Angels "Suede" Glimmermist.
Well, that's all for today, I brought a pile of the lovely new Websters Pages a couple weeks ago and I'm dying to have a play .... hopefully I'll get a chance tomorrow.
Until next time, thanks for dropping by.

Anyone feel like a challenge?

Sometime towards the end of last year my scrapping mojo ran away and ever since I've been looking for it, so I decided to give the sketch challenge over at Anna's Craft Cupboard a try, and you know, I'm rather pleased with the results! Oh don't get me wrong, it's not going to be winning any prizes anytime soon, but I had fun doing it, and that was the most important part.

Anyway, enough of my ramblings, here's a pic.

It was great, I used up some old Basic Grey papers and some scraps that I had sitting around and I also got to use a picture I'd had for a while of my husband, Phil, his brother Bruce and Father Colin on the day of Bruce's wedding back in May 2008.

The title was cut using Platin Schoolbook on my Gypsy, and to get the thickness in the letters I cut them out of black Cricut chipboard twice and stuck them together using a small Xyron sticker maker. I thin cut the title out of the colour Bazzil that I needed. The circle was also cut using the Gypsy, I think by memory the circle was from "Gypsy Font".
We'll, that's all for now, hopefully I can put some more pic's up soon. But in the mean time, if you feel like a challenge pop on over to Anna's and have a go at the sketch challenge, it's a great way to think outside the box.
Until next time,
