Finally it worked!!!!

I've been trying for the past two days to upload this layout but the computer kept saying "NO!" (cough!). Finally it has decided to play nice.

I did this layout on Friday night, I've really been struggling with my scrapping mojo of late and was getting rather frustrated until on Friday night it hit me! Just have fun ... don't worry about creating a master piece! This is by no means my best work, but you know, I enjoyed myself!

The paper I've used is a Websters Pages paper, I cut out the vine (boy, that was a mammoth task!), inked it and then sprayed it with Suede Glimmermist. The finally I used a two step crackle medium to finish off the aged effect. It took a lot of work but I love the effect.

I was going to add a couple close ups but it looks like blogger is saying "No" again! Oh well, thanks for stopping by anyway.

Until next time,

Kaye

More Photo's as Promised!

Here we go, as promised the pic's of the other pages I'd done. I took advantage of the lovely sunny morning to take these.

This double page layout is of pic's from our trip to Geraldton last July, we'd never been there before .... but my goodness, it's a long drive!!!
For these layouts I've used white swiss dots for the background (gotta love swiss dots!) and the other papers and the tickets on the left hand page are from the Kaiser "Pack your bags" collection. The "Are we there yet?" is from Dusty Attic and I used the Cricut solutions "Street Sign" cartridge on "blackout" to cut out the highway sign shapes on the right hand page.

Here's some close ups...

This pages if of my friends little lad, he had just moved from being in a cot to being in a big boy bed and he was so excited about showing me. The photos aren't very good 'cos he wouldn't sit still long enough to get a snap but I decided to use them all anyway since it conveyed his excitement .... I'm glad I did I 'cos I love the effect!

Here's a close up. I used My Minds Eye papers from the Abby Road range. The frame and the cars & buses were all cut from the "Beep Beep Traffic Paper" ... so cute!

Well, that's all for now. Until next time ...

New beginnings

Well here we are, my first real post on my new blog. This is exciting ... well for me anyway.

So anyway, on to the reason we're here ... some pic's!

This is a picture of my beautiful boy lying next to the car ... he just looks so forlorn!, The paper I've used is cosmo cricket, the clouds, tree and dog box were cut out on the cricut using the "Paper Pups" cartridge and the title was cut out using the "Street Sign" solutions cartridge. I then ran the tree and the dog house through the cuttlebug to emboss them.

Well, that's all for now, I've got a couple other creations I've done but haven't had time to photograph, hopefully I get that done and get them posted over the weekend.

Until next time, and don't forget .... when life starts getting you down always go to you "scrappy" place :o)
